For fours, open the 4 times table worksheets and double-twice lesson. Working on sevens? Use the 7 times table worksheets and three-step lesson to check a partial product, a missing factor and a story.
Read the table in order and say what changes from one line to the next. Then cover the products and try the shuffled sheet. If two facts are difficult, use the worked strategy to rebuild those facts before switching tables.
Once a learner knows a table on its own, mix it with other tables. For a square grid that compares rows and columns, open the multiplication chart. To check familiar facts against the clock, use a timed multiplication test.
