The right key for the right page

Every worksheet and answer key has two useful labels: a set code and a version letter.

Match both labels

Check the footer on the worksheet. Its set code should match the code on the answer key, and Version A should be checked with Key A. The key lists the same question numbers in the same positions, with the products filled in.

What changes when you shuffle?

Shuffle the questions creates a new set and a new code. If you already printed a worksheet, keep its original PDF or answer key. A key downloaded after shuffling belongs to the new questions.

Settings matter too

A set code labels the random mix, number range and question count. Changing the range or question count changes the code; changing the title, paper size or whether keys are included does not change the underlying questions. It is not a permanent online record. Save the worksheet and its key together in one PDF rather than trying to reconstruct an older sheet from its footer.

Download order

For multiple versions, the download places every worksheet first, followed by every answer key in the same letter order. Switch off Include answer keys when you only want worksheet pages. The preview’s Answer key tab is then disabled as well.

No saved student records

The tool does not grade work, store scores or associate worksheets with students. The name and date fields remain blank for handwriting after printing.
